I have the honor to forward
the accompanying Medical Certificate for submission to
His Excellency The Governor, and
to state that in consideration thereof
His Excellency will be pleased to grant me leave
of absence from this Colony for a period of eighteen months, for the purpose of visiting Europe in the hope of re-establishing my greatly impaired health. I would wish to leave Hongkong by the next mail
